HOUSTON, July 7 (UPI) -- Neither Beyonce nor Solange Knowles attended their father's wedding to former model Gena Avery in Houston, TMZ reported.
Mathew Knowles married Avery, who is now a real estate agent, on June 30 after being engaged for a year and a half, Us Weekly reported.
However, pop stars Beyonce, 31, and Solange, 27, were unable to be there, TMZ said.
"Unfortunately, Beyonce and Solange had previous engagements which made it impossible for them to attend," Mathew Knowles told TMZ.
Mathew and Tina Knowles, Beyonce and Solange's mother, divorced in 2011 after 31 years of marriage.
